A Nigerian civil society leader, global policy advocate, and community development professional dedicated to transforming the lives of young people across Africa.
"Growing up in Nigeria, I understand the issues that millions of young people are facing and how their voices are not heard on the global stage."
Temitayo Olatunde is a community development strategist, public policy advocate, and civil society leader with over six years of demonstrated experience designing and implementing programmes that advance education equity, gender inclusion, and sustainable livelihoods across underserved communities in Nigeria.
His work sits at the intersection of grassroots community mobilisation and high-level policy engagement — translating the lived realities of marginalised young people into actionable advocacy at national and international levels. As Founder and Executive Director of Temvert Empowerment Foundation, he has built a results-driven organisation that integrates direct service delivery with systemic policy change, reaching thousands of beneficiaries across six states in Southwest and Northern Nigeria.
Temitayo brings substantial expertise in stakeholder engagement, grant management, programme design, and impact evaluation, with a track record of securing and managing partnerships with government agencies, international NGOs, and donor institutions. His community development approach is grounded in participatory methodologies, ensuring that the communities he serves are active agents in shaping the solutions that affect them.
His personal experience of educational adversity — navigating financial hardship and institutional barriers to complete his own university degree — gives him a distinctive and credible voice in the global discourse on education access, youth empowerment, and inclusive development. He holds a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Lincoln, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor's Degree in English and International Studies from Osun State University, Nigeria.
